About Leah J
Leah J began playing and speaking at her local church at an early age, and by the early 1990’s was presenting music and speeches regionally at church and civic events. In 1996 she entered the ministry, working with youth and music for 9 years before being called into pastoral ministry in 2007. She was licensed to preach in the Church of the Brethren in 2007, ordained into the set-apart ministry in 2011. She has been a youth leader, camp dean, retreat leader, music minister, preacher, pastor, and church planter in Arkansas, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Florida and Virginia.
In addition to speaking and singing, Leah J has also been a successful blogger and published author of both poetry and nonfiction works through Brethren Life & Thought Journal, Messenger Magazine, and as the “USA Travel Squid” on Squidoo.com (now Hubpages). She is currently also the host of a gardening channel on YouTube called Leah’s Leaves. Leah J lives in a cabin house in the woods of Western PA with her pit-lab mix Holly, and her tortoise-shell cats Aggie, Ivy and Clare.
She loves traveling, drinking good coffee, watching superhero and spy movies, and gardening.
